How to Make Kit Kat Ice Cream

If you’re a Kit Kat fan, you’ll want to try making this delicious ice cream! It’s easy to make and incredibly decadent.

It’s made with crushed Kit Kat bars and layered with ice cream and Oreo cookies. Plus, it’s egg-free! This makes it a great treat for the whole family.

Ingredients

Kit Kat Ice Cream is a delicious and refreshing dessert that you can make with simple ingredients. It’s perfect for hot days and a great treat for kids and adults alike!

The main ingredients needed to make this recipe include milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and Kit Kat candy bars. You can also use whipped cream to make it even more appealing.

To begin, break up the Kit Kat bars into large chucks and place them in the food processor. Process until they are broken up into medium crumbs.

Next, transfer the crumbs to a tart or pie dish, preferably one with a removable bottom. Spread them over the base of the pan, leaving a good inch of extra space at the top for a final layer of ice cream.

Fill the crust with a generous layer of vanilla ice cream. Fold in chopped Kit Kat bars and gently stir in salted caramel sauce (see below for a quick homemade version). Let it set in the freezer for an hour before topping with the final layer of ice cream and candy chunks.

Preparation

If you want to make a Kit Kat ice cream, it’s not as difficult as you might think. All you need are a few basic ingredients, an ice cream maker and a few hours to let it all chill out.

First, you’ll need to prep your tart or pie pan. Ideally, it should have a removable bottom.

Next, blitz the kit kats to form fine crumbs in a mini chopper or food processor. You could also use a food bag to crush the bars with ease.

Transfer the crumbs to your tart or pie pan and press them down with the flat bottom of a cup or your hands. You may need to do this several times until the crumbs are evenly distributed all over your pan.

Freeze

To freeze this delicious Kit Kat Ice Cream, simply combine all the ingredients in a large freezer-proof container and place into the freezer. Once frozen, remove from the freezer and whisk to break up any ice crystals. Return to the freezer and repeat this process three times until the ice cream is smooth.

Nestle has recently introduced Kit Kat ice cream which combines chocolate light ice cream with a wafer swirl and pieces of candy bars. The pieces are small and plentiful, offering a solid toothy bite that counters the smooth creamy ice cream. This makes it a great dessert for those with a sweet tooth! The ice cream has a lower fat content than the standard Grand style, but it’s still a treat that’s hard to beat. It’s definitely a must try for anyone who loves the taste of Kit Kat. The ice cream will keep in the freezer for 3 months, but is best eaten within 1 month.

Serve

Loaded with a wafer swirl and pieces of Kit Kat candy, this is a delicious treat for the whole family. It doesn’t take long to make and is super easy to put together, making it the perfect break from everyday routine for anyone who wants a new treat!

Start by preparing the cake crust, using a 9-inch pie or tart pan with removable bottom. Spread the crumbs in an even layer over the bottom and sides of the pan. Use your hands or a flat bottomed cup to press the crumbs firmly into place. Chill until firm and then transfer to a plate to cool. Then, top with the ice cream and sprinkle on some reserved Kit Kat pieces. Serve immediately or freeze for a few hours to allow the ice cream to harden. This will help the ice cream to slice more easily! Alternatively, run a sharp knife under hot water to speed up slicing.
