How to Make Fudge Ice-Cream Dessert

This dessert is made with a cookie crust, layers of ice cream, fudge sauce and whipped topping. It’s easy to make and delicious!

It’s best to prepare this dessert at least a week in advance so that it will be firm. However, it’s still good when served right away!

Make the Crust

The crust for this Fudge Ice-Cream Dessert is made with a mixture of melted butter and Oreo cookie crumbs. Press this mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch springform pan to make a pie crust.

Do Ahead: The crust can be prepared up to 1 week ahead of time and wrapped tightly in plastic wrap. It will firm up in the freezer, but can still be removed easily from the pan.

To make the ice cream, mix a combination of heavy cream and condensed milk until soft peaks form. Add vanilla and stir in roughly chopped peanuts.

Spread the ice cream on top of the crust. Place the dessert in the freezer until the fudge topping is cold and the ice cream is firm, about 2-4 hours.

Make the Ice Cream

Using a high-speed blender or food processor, make the ice cream base according to your manufacturer’s instructions. Freeze, stirring every 30 minutes.

When the ice cream is ready, place it in an ice cream container and enjoy! Be sure to use a good quality chocolate and flavorful ice cream to get the best fudge.

To make this dessert even more decadent, you can add caramel sauce, sprinkles, or cookies for an extra indulgent treat. Or, you can top it with whipped topping for a simple yet delicious dessert!

This fudge is made with only two ingredients, so it’s easy to make. It’s also perfect for making a quick and easy dessert for your family or guests! You can even make it up to three weeks ahead of time and store it in an airtight container in your freezer. You can serve it with ice cream, in a milkshake, on a cake, or as a topping for other desserts!

Make the Fudge Topping

When it comes to topping ice cream desserts, nothing is more classic than fudge. There’s just something about it that brings out the best in ice cream and adds a touch of elegance to the presentation.

There are two types of fudge sauces: chocolate syrup and hot fudge. While they both contain cocoa powder, sugar, corn syrup and vanilla, they vary in thickness.

The difference is that chocolate sauce stays liquid when it’s cold, while hot fudge gets thick and fudgy as it cools.

If you’re looking for an easy, quick and rich hot fudge sauce to drizzle over ice cream, cake or pies, this is the recipe to try! It only takes about 10 minutes to make and uses ingredients you probably have on hand.

Make the Whipped Topping

Whipped cream is a delicious and easy topping for pies, cakes, cupcakes, crepes, trifles and more. It’s a great alternative to Cool Whip (store-bought frozen whipped topping).

Whipped Cream is made with 3 simple ingredients: chilled heavy cream, powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, beat the mixture until it has thickened and soft peaks form.

You want medium peaks. They should droop slightly when you lift them from the bowl and not lose their shape entirely.

If your whipped cream starts to curdle, add in a little more heavy cream and gently fold it in by hand until smooth. The heavier the whipping cream, the more stable it will be in this recipe.
